Gledswood Homestead & Winery is steeped in Australian history, dating back to c.1810. The convict lockup, pictured below, was the original building on the property and was initially the main homestead however became the convict lockup once the Chisholm family purchased the property and began building the main homestead.
Gledswood Homestead was home to the Chisholm family for many generations, and the property was instrumental in establishing the wine and wool industries in the new colony, New South Wales. To learn about the history of the property, we suggest you come along to one of our history lunches!
